About Us
The UK Bangla Reporters Unity will act as an umbrella and a platform for all permanent Bengali speaking resident journalists and reporters of the UK Bengali press & media including editors and others editors of newspapers, online media, magazines, journals, radio, and electronic media. The UK Bangla Reporters Unity in short will be known as UKBRU, established in 5th july 2017.

UK Bangla Reporters Unity Events
Inauguration of UK Bangla Reporters Unity’s EC held in East London.
On Tuesday, the 10th of January 2023, the new (EC) of UK Bangla Reporters Unity was inaugurated in London Bangla Press Club premises, East London. The outgoing president, Ansar Ahmed Ullah, presided over the inauguration ceremony and the General Secretary, Muhammed Shajidur Rahman, conducted the event.

বুধবার ৭ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২২ ব্রিটেনের হাউস অব পার্লামেন্টের কনফারেন্স রুম সি-তে অনুষ্ঠানে সাংবাদিকতায় বিশেষ অবদানের জন্য ইউকে বিআরইউ মিডিয়া অ্যাওয়ার্ড ২০২০-২১ পেয়েছেন যুক্তরাজ্যে কর্মরত ৪ সাংবাদিক। তারা হলেন- সৈয়দা ফেরদৌসি পাশা কলি, মুহাম্মদ শাহেদ রাহমান, মতিয়ার চৌধুরী,হামিদ মোহাম্মদ।
লন্ডনে ২৪ এপ্রিল ২০২২ সাংবাদিক, কমিউনিটি ব্যক্তিত্ব ও শুভার্থীদের উপস্থিতিতে ইউকে বাংলা রিপোর্টার্স ইউনিটির ইফতার ও দোয়া মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
ইউকে বাংলা রিপোর্টার্স ইউনিটির সভাপতি আনসার আহমদ উল্লাহ সভাপতিত্বে ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক সাজিদুর রহমান এর পরিচালনায় প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন টাওয়ার হ্যামলেটসের স্পিকার আহবাব হোসেন।

Aims - Objective:
As a non-profitable organisation promoting objective news reporting by engaging in welfare activities of the community.
In order to develop creative, skilled and trained journalist, each member of the organisation will be provided with necessary trainings in various media related topics.
Continue to establish a meaningful relationship with the necessary regional, national, international media, respected individuals and other related organisations.
To come to aid of any members experiencing difficulties. The UKBRU will attempt to come forward in assisting as far as possible and increase cooperation between members.
Recognition:
To recognise to work and to inspire members, the UKBRU will award annually multiple members, for example, for the best investigative report or the best research based report.
Secondly, if possible, every year a prominent journalist outside the organisation will be awarded by the UKBRU to honour their work. Similarly, other prominent citizens of the community can be honoured.
As it is a non-proportional organisation, donations & fees from the membership will be used for the welfare for its members. The money raised will ensure spending on other humanitarian activities for the welfare of the people in accordance with the plans of the UKBRU.
